Guild Hall, 1st Floor, 128 Oliver Street
How to find us
The Guild Hall is on Oliver Street which runs alongside the Asda carpark. Oliver Street is the main taxi rank in Birkenhead town centre. As you enter the Asda carpark, the Guild Hall is directly opposite you. You can enter our premises from Oliver Street (door on the right leads to our stairway) or from the precinct, the pathway between Waterstones and Thomas Cook (pass the soft play centre on the ground floor, through double doors and a door to your left leads to our stairway). We are on the first floor and have a bell at the bottom of the stairway for help with prams. Please buzz it and the cuckoo will let us know that you are there!
Please note, the precinct entrance could be closed at anytime for unknown reasons so we highly encourage you to access Magical Circus via Oliver street.
For guests with prams, Magical Circus has some space available at the foot of the stairwell but prams are left at the owners risk. Under no circumstances do we accept responsibility for loss or damage to prams left here. We have space available within our venue and can offer assistance bringing prams up the stairs, if required. Thank you!
Unfortunately at the present time, there is no wheel chair access to the first floor (our venue) or disabled toilets. If you require assistance bringing a wheelchair upstairs, this can be arranged. We would arrange for sole, private use of the male toilets for anybody in a wheelchair. Our services are also available to hire off-site, please do not hesitate to contact us for further advice.
Our venue is not open in the way most venues do. We offer engaging and unique community activities, play sessions, workshops and shows at different times and days troughout the year so please check our upcoming events calendar. Doors will be open 10 minutes at the beginning of each time slot, 30 minutes for the shows. For late entries you will need to call the mobile number at the door and we will attend to you as soon as we are free. If you need to leave early you must notify Melanie or Angelo at the beginning of the session for the Fire Safety Register. Prices applicable to all children from 1 year upwards (6 months for Circo-tots) and adults attending Family Circus Workshops and Shows.
No outside food or drink allowed with the exception of baby food and milk and re-usable bottled water. We do not accept externally organized Birthday parties at Magical Circus. Refreshments available from the Kiosk or Café. We do not have a refuse service to keep costs down, so water bottles must be taken home.
Very close parking is available at Asda to the right or Wirral Council on the left, as you enter the roofed car park. Additional parking is available with Asda upstairs.
The Asda car park costs £2.00 for 3 hours, cash only and this can be redeemed off your shopping if you spend £5.00 or more. Just retain the refund voucher section of the ticket and hand it in before you pay!
Please note, on Sundays the Asda carpark closes at 5pm but this only applies to entry. If you are attending a party, activity or event that finishes after this time you can still exit the carpark. The exit remains open all night.
The Pyramids car park has 685 spaces, 18 of which are reserved for disabled patrons which can be found on Level 5.
Shoppers can park all day for £2 and for free on Sundays in both car parks. Sat Nav Postcode Reference – CH41 2RA
The car park can be accessed from Borough Road and is attached to the internal shopping mall via a link bridge situated on Level 5. From there, Oliver Street to Magical Circus is less than five minutes walk.
